About

Infectious Designs is run by Sydney-based jewellery designer, Sars. Having been an avid jewellery maker for much of her life, the decision to start her own business wasn’t a terribly hard one, so in 2006 Sars founded Infectious Designs. She has a studio set up in her garage where she creates all of her infectious designs by hand, and carries out many experiments to bring new elements to her designs.
Sars studied Jewellery Manufacturing at the Enmore Design Centre (TAFE Institute) and has also done several short courses in metalwork. She is also interested in pursuing further studies in resin jewellery, lampworking and chain maille.
She has also had a piece of jewellery featured in the A&E Metal Explorations exhibit at the Gaffa Gallery, Surry Hills and has donated several custom-made pieces to charity fundraisers. A feature article has been written about her in the popular beading magazine, Creative Beading which can be read here (pdf format).
